Lexia Group appoints strategic development director
Lexia Solutions Group, the asbestos and environmental solutions specialist, has announced the appointment of Chris Pygall as strategic development director.
This new board director role has been created to support the growth of Lexia Group through acquisition and the subsequent smooth integration of services. Pygall will also be responsible for two of the Lexia companies, Novas and Bagnall UK, in addition to HR and transport.
Jason Davy, Lexia’s managing director, said of the appointment: “Chris’s knowledge of developing business through organic and acquisitive growth will be invaluable as Lexia continues to grow both organically as well as keeping an eye out for acquisition opportunities in relevant sectors.”
Chris Pygall commented: “Lexia offers huge potential for business development. It’s an exciting time for the company, in particular the work of our environment compliance company, Life Environmental Solutions, which is very topical at the moment. One of my key intentions is to improve efficiency and consistency of processes following a number of acquisitions.”
Pygall began his career in the electrical contracting business as a regional manager before moving into operations. He joined Dataform, a print management business, as operations manager and during a period of management buy out, which took the company from a £12m to £40m turnover, Pygall was appointed as operations director and then group managing director. Pygall later joined a packaging business as chief executive to complete a substantial turnaround.
Pygall’s appointment comes hot on the heels of two other new senior positions at Lexia. Director of health and safety, Mike Smith, and non-executive director, John Purvis, were recently appointed, signifying significant growth plans for Lexia in the near future.
Established in 2004, the Lexia Solutions Group includes Rhodar, the leading asbestos abatement company; Thermac, a specialist equipment manufacturer; Novas, a property reinstatement company; Bagnall UK, a demolition and land remediation specialist; and Life Environmental Services, an environment compliance and risk management solution specialist. The group has seen a 100 per cent growth in the last three years and plans to increase growth further, both organically and through acquisition.
